Only 1 and 1/2 margaritas. The taco at the first restaurant was good but the food at the other two restaurants just so so. Not much history except for the cemetary but even that seemed to be all guess work. I would have preferred another margarita over the root beer float, it upset my stomach. The tour was not worth the money.
Taco and margaritas at first stop weren't very good, but the tacos, quesadilla, churros and margaritas at the next three stops were good. Graveyard tour was very interesting, and our tour guide was excellent. Nice small group, just 8 of us.
This tour seemed to be relatively new and had some kinks to work out. The meeting address had changed since I booked it, so it's vital to reconfirm with the tour group. One of the restaurants seemed a little unprepared for our group, but all of the food was exceptional and the drinks were outstanding. The stories of the places on the tour were a little urban legend-ish, but it was probably meant to be more entertaining than educational. This tour is a great way to visit several of the excellent restaurants in Old Town San Diego and get a feel for the sights there - Old Town is really worth the visit. The guide was very nice and accomodating. This tour is probably best for adults - I brought my 11 yr old son and he was a little freaked out by the ghost stories in the cemetery at night. I wouldn't say it's inappropriate for kids, just that it's going to depend on how well your kid handles ghost stories (and we brought him a bottled drink along since I didn't - and still don't - know if the restaurants would provide soft drinks.) Overally, it was a fun little tour and a good way to explore Old Town.
