I highly recommend the Lower Pigeon River Float. It was our first time “ white water rafting “. We had a blast! Our group consisted of 53 year old,29 year old, 18 year old, 9 year old, and 5 year old. Our guide, Allen, was awesome. He explained everything to us prior to us getting in the raft. He had just the right amount of humor to make the trip fun! We all felt safe. There were just enough Class 1 and Class 2 rapids for my 5 year old granddaughter. The rest of us enjoyed the 1 Class 3 rapid at the end of the trip. It was a perfect introduction to rafting! We are looking forward to coming back and trying out the Upper Pigeon Smoky Mountain trip in the future. Highly recommend this company. Reasonable prices, good length of trip, knowledgeable, friendly staff make this a must do adventure for first time rafters!

We had several young kids and so we could only do the lower river. We all had a great time and our guide Cam made it that way. He was very professional but also kept us entertained while we had some slow river parts. He was great with the kids and kept them involved the whole time. The operation ran pretty smoothly and we were never left wondering what was to happen next. Overall a great experience and we look forward to going on the upper river next time with just the adults.

We had a great time despite being picked up almost 30 minutes late for our adventure. Zoey and Carter were great! They were knowledgeable and helped our nervous daughter feel comfortable. We opted for the lower and it ended up being just the right mix of gentle floating and choppy waters for a raft full of first timers! Even the bus ride back was fun with corny jokes and smiles all around. I was disappointed that you could not see my face in any of the 16 pictures as I really wanted to purchase a photo to remember the day. I made a couple comments as I looked through the pictures and said it again when my husband came over. I must have annoyed Gillian, the employee at the counter. We opted to purchase the pictures anyway and I half jokingly asked if we could get a discount since you couldn't see me in any of the pictures. Her response was, "Ma'am, if you are really that unhappy just take a picture of the one you want." I was taken aback and for some reason asked her what she said and she repeated the sentence with the same tone and straight face. Really? She didn't greet me as I approached the counter, didn't speak at all really (I'm not sure what she was doing while the pictures were coming on the screen) and this was the one sentence she could be bothered to say to me? Twice? My husband told her I was joking and again no response from her. I asked where the bathroom was and went to change. As we got in the car to leave he shared how unprofessional and rude he thought she was. I decided to go back in and ask for her name. She apologized and said she was just trying to make me happy. She didn't seem sincere and, after standing there and witnessing her explain herself to another unhappy customer, I told her that it did not come across as nice and despite having a great time, I was leaving with a sour taste in my mouth and that was disappointing. As I left, I heard her say to the other employee that I was going to complain about her. Well, she might not know much about customer service but she might be smarter than the average bear. I absolutely recommend this adventure as it was loads of fun and ALL the other employees were great.
