We have gone on many walking tours over the years, and Bruce Racond’s was the most engaging, informative, and historically fascinating tour we have ever experienced! His preparation, dramatic visual aids, infectious enthusiasm, superb original research, and narrative arcs are worthy of a television series. Bruce met us in a sleet and hail storm, we were the only two that hadn’t cancelled, and battling the elements while engaging with him on the remarkable stories of the Brooklyn Bridge, the characters and neighborhoods of Brooklyn, was positively the most enriching and enjoyable experience we have ever had in New York City. We can’t possibly recommend his tours more highly, and Bruce should write a book (in addition to the TV series ha). Get on this or any other tour he offers!!!

Hello David, Thank you so much for your review and recommendation of the Best of Brooklyn tour. It was quite a stormy day with many different forms of water and ice coming out of the sky. We were all intrepid and I'm glad that you had an enjoyable time. I hope to see you both again on another tour. Bruce

Bruce Racond is an unexcelled tour guide. He weaves history with scenery, including well-known and hidden landmarks, in an exciting and humanistic manner during a three-hour walk through a portion of Brooklyn and over its famous Bridge. He welcomes questions from his guests and answers them with ease. Slices of history and architectural gems come to life during his commentary and pictorial annotations. My wife and I share fond memories of this delightful afternoon.
