What To Expect

Kilauea
Kilauea is one of the most active volcanoes on earth and has been continuously erupting since 1974. Here we will explore the East Rift Zone of Kilauea, including Kilauea Crater, Pu’u O’o Vent and it’s lava flows that are currently entering the Pacific Ocean. The tour will then fly north up the windward side of the island passing Hilo town, the wettest town on earth and the heavenly Hamakua Coast. Then we will whisk you up north to explore the seven windward valleys of Kohala. First stop is the windward side of the Kohala Mountains where we will fly the coastline of Waipio Valley and then move westward to Waimanu Valley. Waimanu can experience annual rainfall of up to 200 inches, fueling 1500+ ft waterfalls, some of the tallest in all of Hawaii.

What a great operation! We had the Full Island Adventure and it was amazing. The pilots are low key and the craft is a small, very comfy helicopter so everyone got a window seat. Jonas is an outstanding pilot with a lot of knowledge, narrating the whole time. My husband has a fear of heights and even he loved it. I'm a helicopter tour junkie and this is the best one I've ever been on in 20 years. Bigger isn't better. This group makes you feel like a VIP.

We had a great flight. From volcanic craters, lava fields flowing into the ocean and towering waterfalls the sights were unbelievable. Ben our pilot who is also the owner was a wealth of information. Having lived on the Island for a number of years he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the volcanoes. The Robinson R66 is a great helicopter because of the visibility. On the way back even had time to scout for and find a breaching whale. You can't go wrong with this company.

This is probably the only way to truly appreciate both the immensity and the staggering beauty of the big island of Hawaii! From overflights of an active volcano crater to an amazing view of new land being formed as lava flows into the ocean with a hiss of steam, to spectacular 2,000 foot waterfalls (and an astonishing number of waterfalls, cascading one after the other), we were able to appreciate the 11 climate zones represented by the island of Hawaii. Our pilot, Sean, was competent, knowledgeable, and delightful . The manager, Stephany, was pleasant and accommodating. Of the many activities we have indulged in the islands, this has to rank as the best!
