I booked and paid for this tour for the evening of Tuesday, May 2. In the afternoon, I received a text message with the meeting point. My sister and I showed up early at the meeting point but could not find the guide. I texted several times to get assistance. As well, we went into the lobby of the Tutwiler Hotel to see whether they could assist us. They had never heard of the tour, nor had the folks at our hotel, the Redmont, where the tour was also supposed to stop. After about half a hour, we gave up. I requested a refund, but the tour operator refused.

Unfortunately, the events described are not accurate. The guest messaged us 2 hours before the tour requesting to be picked up from their hotel two blocks from where the tour begins, and that is not a service we provide for walking tours, and nowhere is it listed that we do. Our guide was onsite at our storefront 40 minutes before the tour began and waited 15 minutes after the start time to begin a partial training tour with one of our new guides since the guest did not show. Everyone at the Tutweiler and Redmont front desk is VERY familiar with our tours, as we have worked with them (and featured them) for 13 years. The guest received at least three texts/emails detailing where and when the tour began and chose not to come to the starting point. I was reluctant to post a reply because Trip Advisor/Viator has this post under review for inaccuracy, backed up by the timestamped text chain referenced.

I did the Dark Alleys tour last night and it was amazing! I had the best time. David was fantastic and even walked me to my car down a dark alley afterwards. I highly recommend it!
