Very reasonable priced tour and a great guide who was personable and knowledgeable. We went to five restaurants. Stop one was Italian with two dishes and espresso, stop two was French with fresh bread and seafood (we purchased some wine/beer to go with the meal here as well), stop three was a great pub with well above average pub food, stop four was the best all natural good for you dessert and the final stop was fantastic cupcakes. I highly recommend tour. We will bring friends and family back again for sure.

So thrilled to hear it, C.! I know there are only two days left in your trip, but I hope you'll get a chance to try out some more great Richmond restaurants! - Brian

The Carytown food tour was delicious and informative! I went on a work outing, but I would also recommend it to families, friends, and visitors to Richmond. Brian, who helped me set up a private tour, was very helpful, responsive and flexible. One thing to note is that you will not receive the meeting location until a day or two before the tour. Jill, our tour guide, was very personable and interesting. She struck the right balance between providing neat historical tidbits and giving the group plenty of time to chat. The lineup of restaurants was just right - I left with a full belly and got to try a little bit of everything, from mussels to acai bowls. My group visited 10 Italian Cafe, Can Can, Home Sweet Home, The Pit & The Peel, and Carytown Cupcakes. The food at each restaurant was brought out as soon as we were seated and we got a warm welcome from the manager of Can Can, who told us about the history and operations of his restaurant. I would recommend the Carytown tour to those looking for a less active experience, as all of the restaurants are on the same street, so walking is minimal, and there is seating at most restaurants.

K., Jill told me all about how much the group loved Can Can! I'm glad everyone enjoyed everything, and I hope we'll see you again on your next team outing! - Brian

Plenty of historical commentary on Carytown, met some of the local owners and left with a full belly. A great way to spend an afternoon.
