The East Waikiki Walking Tour

Overview
Hawai'i Walks is a walking tour company that is historically literate, compelling, and sustainable. Our expert guides all possess advanced degrees and are experts in Hawaiian flora, fauna, and history. Most tours just scratch the surface of what it means to be in Hawai'i, while our guides cover geological and human history throughout the Pacific, present local social issues, and in-depth descriptions of the animals and plants that you encounter. We share this information through the lens of sustainability, discussing the various impacts of industry in Waikiki while providing customers with information they need to be better consumers while visiting the islands. If you're looking for an expansive background on the region you are visiting, join us on our nature and history tour today!

Tremendous tour. 105 minutes jam-packed with wonderful information on the History of Hawaii, birds of Hawaii, flowers of Hawaii, coastline of Hawaii, sites to see in Maui. Topped off with a sweet ice cream treat. Easy walk at a comfortable pace. Well worth the time. Very affordable. HIGHLY recommended.

We did the walk together with the owner of this business,a young lady,so cheerful and professional, welcoming us to her island, as if she were an old friend of ours!! She was such good company, explaining many interesting historical facts and pointing, during our pleasant walk, at some beautiful birds, both endemic and imported. She even offered us a refreshing ā€œmochiā€ in the middle of our walking tour, that lasted about two hours.Ā  Very recommended for a relaxing morning, far from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki Beach.Ā

I had an awesome time on this tour a couple weeks ago and learned a lot about Hawaii and local animals. Honestly this tour should be mandatory for all tourists and locals alike, I feel like I understand the place much better now. My guide had an insane amount of knowledge and could answer all my questions. It's a great deal too for all you get. Ice cream, sticker, info cards, etc. Super fun overall and I highly recommend.
