I’ve been on several ghost tours in other cities, but never a ghost bus tour so I thought this would be extra fun. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. We started in front of The Menger, which is where I was staying, but got far more of a history lesson than a spooky discussion about ghosts. He did show us some ghostly photos supposedly taken there, but it went downhill from there. There was loads of history about buildings and people I’d never heard of, but only an occasional mention of a haunting. Even when we went to the cemetery, we stopped in front of a few random graves and heard long stories about gun fights and feuds. He did mention the whole crybaby bridge urban legend, but poo pooed it and took us to some graves of a real family that was killed by a train. Nothing ghostly there, either, just a tragedy. Captain Dan was at least humorous and engaging, and I guess did the best he could with what he had to work with. But the places were dull (the cemetery could have been SO MUCH better), and the stories were 99% history, with a little spooky thrown in as a side note. I was very bored and checked the time frequently. Also was kicking myself for spending that much money for this. I enjoyed myself on other tours I’ve done, and don’t mind a little history being woven in for perspective, but this tour was duller than dirt. 👎

This was a fun and quite informative tour. Our guide made our tour so much more fun! The hotel stories were my favorite and we will be sure to tell others about it.

Lee (Tour Guide) was great. Very informative, definitely knew his history and was very funny. When we arrived at the cemetery, Lee suggested us to take pictures with night vision on which my husband did. I didn’t think we would get lucky to see any spirits would show up on the pictures. My husband took a couple of pictures at the cemetery and while at dinner we reviewed the photos he had taken and man I swear we could see what looked like a body in the photos he took in the darkness at the cemetery. Crazy enough, I believe there were spirits around us when we were there. Definitely encourage to take this bus tour, you won’t regret it. We had a great time and good laughs.
