This business is not family oriented or professional. I am sad to report this and I did try to rectify it but they are not moral or respectful. Their staff is very friendly for you to book, then if you need to cancel for immediate emergency exigent life circumstances, they will forfeit your money. They offered me no credit, no refund, nothing. Nathan the director was very proud to tell me the dont want to offer an rectifications, and his staff member Trinity was extremely evasive and ignorant to my circumstances and situation. His staff member Shaun was really nice but the company went MIA when I needed them. They didnt log information and conversations accurately. I canceled within 48 hours of my original booking and they refused to refund me. Even when i went in to great detail about my circumstances they essentially laughed me off. They had no human component as a family business and its very off putting. I am so stressed and spent a lot of time emailing and on the phone, I didnt get to enjoy my trip. They literally offered me NOTHING and even hung up on me. I had to raise my voice at trinity and demand a manager. They never emailed me back either.

Dear Future Guests, At Sunset Watersports, we are committed to providing outstanding, family-oriented experiences, and our 40-year legacy in Key West is built on respect, integrity, and dedication to our guests. This guest contacted us well within our 24-hour cancellation period, very close to the trip's scheduled departure. For flexibility, we offer a trip protection plan, which acts as trip insurance, providing a full refund option for emergencies. However, the guest chose to opt out of this protection and proceeded with our standard policy. When the guest requested a cancellation hours prior to the trip, we offered a rescheduling option, which our team always provides as a courtesy within the 24-hour window. We had the trip fully staffed and filled with food & drinks. Despite this offer, the guest used abusive language toward our staff, verbally degraded our team, and disregarded our policies, insisting on how we should run our company. She also mentioned her status as an Airbnb host, implying it justified special treatment, which we respectfully declined. Throughout this interaction, our team members—including Trinity and Shaun—remained courteous and professional, despite the guest’s increasingly escalated tone. At no point did our team hang up on her, and we continuously aimed to address her concerns respectfully. We appreciate and welcome constructive feedback and always strive for a fair and transparent process with every guest. Our policies are designed to ensure a smooth, reliable experience for everyone, and our team is dedicated to respectful communication, even in challenging situations. This trip totally exceeded expectations. My husband and I were expecting to maybe see a dolphin from far away, if we even got that lucky. Color us surprised and shocked when there were several pods of dolphins so close to the boat I was able to look right in the eye of one. The captain, Kevin, was phenomenal. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure we got to have the most incredible experience. He took his time to find the dolphins nearby and follow them for quite some time so everyone could get the best sighting possible. His crew mate, Aubrey, was such a wonderful addition to the trip. She was friendly, warm, knowledgeable, and made sure to check in on each of us individually throughout the excursion. I still can not believe how perfect this was. I highly recommend to anyone in Key West to do this excursion!
