Enter the National Gallery of Art and follow your guide through one of America’s best collections of artwork produced by Renaissance artists, French Impressionists, and great American painters. See works from Claude Monet, Raphael, Gilbert Stuart, and Edgar Degas, as well as more modern artists like Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, and O’Keefe, as you learn what’s really behind the creation of some of these pieces. Your private guide will lead the way through the halls of the museum, telling stories, and stopping at famous works of art. Some pieces you’ll see on this tour include “Ginevra de’Benci” by Leonardo da Vinci, “Self Portrait” by Vincent Van Gogh, and “Woman with a Parasol” by Claude Monet. Listen as your guide fills you in on the techniques behind some of the paintings, as well as some of the history and scandals that happened because of them. I highly recommend this tour. Often our museum visits involve seeing a few famous works then we wander a bit aimlessly around, unsure what we should focus on, until everyone is tired. So, for our first post-pandemic vacation I opted to book a private National Gallery tour for myself, my spouse, and our 26 & 15 year old sons. Leigh did an incredible job. Pre-tour communication was excellent. She took us on a whirlwind tour of the gallery highlights, focusing on areas we had expressed interest in and introducing works and artists we knew nothing about. She integrated history, culture, trade, and anecdotes about artists and their subjects in a conversational way that was engaging and informative. The time flew and we enjoyed every minute. When your 15 year old son says that a 2.5 hour art gallery tour with his parents was "great" ... well, you know the guide is someone special. Many thanks, Leigh. Our visit with you to the National Gallery was the highlight of our vacation. Can't wait to return to learn about 20th century art!

Donna was engaging, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our group included several children and Donna did a wonderful job keeping the children interested. Even though we covered a lot of ground, we would love to do the tour again to see more.
