Being a Jeeper, I was a bit apprehensive about this being a "tourist trap." I am happy to report that was not the case. From the onset, Brandon was very courteous in our interactions. He asked what it was we were looking for in our tour (technical off-road challenge or more of a scenic trip). We chose the scenic route since we wheel at home and rather get the best views of Colorado. On the day of the trip, Brandon and Alma arrived at the meeting location on time with very well-built and equipped Jeep (JKs and a JL). Our group consisted of a three vehicle convoy, Brandon and Elma leading the two client-driven Jeeps. Throughout the tour Brandon was feeding us information (via radios) about the history of the town and the mining operations that started it all. Brandon is extremely knowledgable of the area and history as he was a miner there himself. Even though we chose the "scenic" option, there was still plenty of heart-pumping wheeling. Brandon guided everyone through the radio as to what lines to pick and and when and how to engage and disengage the differing 4WD and gear settings. The other party in our convoy had never been in a Jeep or off-roading and they had no difficulty following along and had a blast. Our tour was of Bill Moore Lake. After crawling up the mountain side, letting the Jeeps flex, and seeing some examples of what not to do by others on the trail, we made it to the lake. I can try and explain the beauty of the scenery, but it would never be enough. See the attached pictures, which still don't do it justice. If you're in the Denver area and want the thrill of going off-road and catching views that few others get the chance of seeing, contact Native Jeeps and let them take you on a tour. Or, if you want to get into wheeling but have no experience, contact Native Jeeps and let them teach you the proper and safe way to crawl. I cannot emphasize how great of guides and people Brandon and Alma were. Stop thinking about it and book it! You'll be smiling ear to ear the entire time.

I’ll admit I was nervous about this activity. We have no experience and I am a little afraid of heights (mainly being on the edge of a mountain with a steep drop). I had no need to be concerned because this was AWESOME!! We are a family of four (2 teens) and my husband has never driven a Jeep. Brandon gave amazing instructions which led us up the mountain to Bill Moore Lake (elevation 11,340). He was in front and led the way! I don’t know anything about jeeps, but this one was decked out with all the bells and whistles for exploring the backroads. It was clean and provided a nice ride! We had so much fun climbing up rugged roads and whizzing thru the trees! We had walkie talkies and Brandon provided us a ton of information along the way....from teaching us about mining in the area (he used to be a miner), the animals in the mountains (we didn’t see any), to the history of the cities we drove thru). He and Alma were amazing! And the VIEWS!! It was so beautiful! We did have a little haze due to the nearby wild fires but it was still absolutely gorgeous! Bill Moore Lake is picturesque! I can’t give this tour enough stars. Don’t be concerned....just book it! It’s sooooo fun! And we all need some fun after the year we have had! 😄

This tour was amazing. It receives my highest recommendation. The amount of historical knowledge of the area is pretty outstanding. They both know the equipment top to bottom. They understand the physics of how best to tackle the terrain and the capabilities and limitations of their equipment. Very polite and really took their time with the young driver. It was worth every penny. I can wait to do it again...sunset tour tonight.
