My friend and I signed up for this tour knowing with a full understanding of what the tour was about. We wanted to get a well-rounded experience while visiting Salem, so we did museums/historical stuff as WELL as this tour. The tour centered around stereotypes and misconceptions about real witches throughout history which is such a wonderful change from the experience one normally gets on a tour. It was unique and informative and helped me think about a lot of things that had not occurred to me before. One doesn't often find an opportunity to get the perspective of actual witches in our society, so this was great. Our group was very interested in each spot we went to, and very well behaved. The tour guide was lovable and pleasant, and did a great job. I enjoyed the interactive ritual and would definitely recommend this tour to others who have an open mind (or a closed one!). - J.N.

Took the Witch Walk on Halloween 2013 @ 3 in the afternoon admidst a threatening storm that wreaked havoc elsewhere in the country. Our guide was PJ and he did a good job of showing modern rituals and historic sites. I liked how he talked candidly and you could tell he was speaking from the heart and not from a generic, scripted dialog. He talked about things already embedded in our culture are ancient rituals like throwing coins in fountains and songs like Rain Rain Go Away were forms of magic. About halfway through the tour a soaking rain came but PJ led us to sheltered back alleys when he spoke. It rained for another 1 1/2 hours but cleared just before darkness and Halloween night was dry. As we walked, PJ sing songed Rain Rain Rain Go Away, and it worked, it just took awhile. There was a round bubble like dry area on the radar, that hovered over Salem the rest of Halloween night .
