Somerset Vineyard and Winery

Somerset Vineyard & Winery, located on the property formerly known as Keyways, is a wine lover’s first stop along Temecula Valley’s De Portola Trail. The owners of Somerset share an unbreakable bond strengthened by a mutual passion to live and love in every moment of this life together. At Somerset, winemaking is the art of curating unique tasting wine that delights each drinker with every single sip. The vineyard is rooted on 13 acres that bear fruit from the Rhône varietals such as Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache and Syrah as well as the Spanish Macabeo, Monastrell and Tempranillo. This means that each bottle is an homage to ancient recipes born from soil and shared experiences.

The fruit for Callaway wines is sourced primarily from vineyards in the Temecula Valley region of California. The Temecula Valley benefits from its proximity to the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean, which allows a long, even and mild growing season. Fermenting at lower than usual temperatures causes longer and slower processing of the fruit, thus preserving and enhancing the crisp, fruit flavor of the grapes. Our WestCoast Tour adventure from Orange County to Temecula was unforgettable! Our tour guide was incredibly professional, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make our experience special. We explored Old Town Temecula and visited four beautiful wineries, where we were treated to top-notch service, tastings, and even a delicious charcuterie board. The VIP treatment made us feel so pampered—our guide captured all the best moments for us and shared plenty of fun and informative facts along the way. Amazing time with friends, fantastic wine, and exceptional service. Highly recommend!

The wine tour was very nice and informative. Joseph from Best Coast Tours was amazing, and he always made sure everyone on the tour could hear him and see the beautiful vineyards comfortably. This tour was just the best, rating it 5-Stars!

Highly recommend this tour! 4 wineries in one day! All different experiences, wonderful history and welcoming hosts. Joseph gave a history of the area and each winery, gave ample time to enjoy and sample and was a pleasure to spend the day with. I couldn’t have been more pleased with this choice.
