A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years… The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority (TIBA), who owns and operates Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House, invite you to explore our website. This was an awesome cruise! It is the best way to see the most in a day. Captain Brian and cruise guide Dennis were very knowledgeable. They and the 2 lighthouse keepers we could tell really loved their jobs and loved talking about the area. We would recommend that you eat your lunch in the hour or so time to get to the castle so you can get the most out of your time at the castle. An hour and a half was not enough time at the castle. We could have spent more time there, and an hour at the lighthouse was too much time there. It could have been reduced for more time at the castle. Overall a great trip and I would recommend it to anyone.

The entire 5-hour cruise was amazing. Plenty of time to explore Boldt castle and the Rock Island lighthouse. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. They show you a lot more of the islands than just the castle and explain everything they show you. I highly recommend Clayton Island Tours!
