I booked this trip through the Viator website. We reported to the Santa Fe train station in San Diego, as the voucher had instructed. Five Star Tours was the contracted tour company. The tour did not depart on time due to the van breaking down. The company had to secure another van, and we finally departed a half hour after the published time. The traffic to the border was fine, but once we crossed, the traffic was congested everywhere. I enjoyed the sights and sounds going through Tijuana. Our tour guide was great and had lots of information to share with us. The people in the van were awesome, too. Lunch was all right. I've had better lunches. I wish there was more time to gift shop, but because of the traffic, that just cut down our leisure time.

First off we were a party of 8 and it was stated Hotel pickup available , but when we tried to arrange this , the company refused and made us taxi it to their office at the railway station . It was to begin at 2 pm but was late . The staff member at Five Star Tours , the company taking us on the tour just kept saying 5 more minutes . Finally 30 minutes late the bus turned up . This time was never made up , what was meant to be a 5 hour tour soon turned into a 4 hour 20 minute tour . Lunch was included and extremely poor . No choice at all . We were given meat tacos with beans . We had two vegetarians and their lunch was lettuce and chees taco with beans . We had 2 children with us and I had to ask for some lettuce and tomato for them . We had 2 hours free time to walk up and down one street , that was fun . We were able to buy some Mexican souvenirs and see some locals . we were then taken for a quick drive around the new city and then back to San Diego , arriving 15 minutes early , back at the train station . Very , very disappointed
