What To Expect

Totem Bight State Historical Park

Begin with a 15 minute Ketchikan city tour that brings history alive and shares Alaska's way of life. When you get to the Totem Bight Park, you will have about 10 minutes walking through the forest to the totem viewing pavilion. Hear about life in ancient times and learn about the traditional winter home for natives of the northwest coast, which offered shelter from sun and storm.

Carol was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. She gave us an in-depth tour of the city and the park. Her knowledge of Native American culture and the stories of the totems were fascinating. As a bonus she took us to an additional totem park. Highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about the area
