Overview

Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests.

Our pickup time is 9 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

What To Expect

Astoria Column

At this 125-foot Column, you will see the fantastic views, listen to the history, smell the coastal air, and take in the challenge of climbing the stairs. People leave this place feeling light, breathing in the accomplishments of yesterday's and today's challenges.

Flavel House Museum

Walk the grounds, see the carriage house and maybe visit the inside of the home.

Oregon Film Museum

Get your photo taken with the Goonies jeep, visit the guest store for your favorite Goonie collection

Fort Astoria

see the Fort read the history, see a Rhododendron tree over 100 years old

Goonies House

Walk up the street to Mikey's house, take a photo

Hanthorn Cannery Museum

Watch the ships, sunsets, and sea lions at the 147 year old Hanthorn Cannery, on the Columbia River. Walk through the free Museum, Visit Vineside Wine Bar, Coffee Girl, Rogue Brewery and some fun shops with lots of Goonie Gear.

We were delighted with the tour and can’t wait to return for more sights and stories! After taking many cruise excursions through the years, we know a good one when we experience it and.this was one of our best!

We were on a cruise ship, and the day we docked in Astoria we had to go through immigration before getting off the ship. It was a lengthy process, which meant we were not available for our 9:00 pickup. We called Katie and she was so accommodating. She, and her partner Bill, rearranged their schedule to pick us up later. The tour was a lot of fun and was very flexible. Bill and Katie tailored it so that it would be as long or short as we wanted it to be. Their customer service was outstanding.

A wonderful tour with the most lovely of tour guides! We were conveniently met at a hotel in Astoria where we were able to leave our car for the entirety of the tour. Our guide, Kate started off by asking each person in the group what was the thing they most wanted to see and formulated a route to make sure it was tailored to us all perfectly. From film locations (including the Goonies of course!) to historical homes, flying toy planes from the top of the Column, shops and eateries to big herd of Sea Lions! This tour was so great and sold the place to us so much so, we infact cut our trip to another state short to return to Astoria and see more! One of the things that really jumped out to me is how our guide was so passionate about Astoria. If I was to return I’d happily do another tour with Kate knowing there is so much more she could show me!
