Overview

Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests.

Our pickup time is 9 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

What To Expect

Astoria Column

At this 125-foot Column, you will see the fantastic views, listen to the history, smell the coastal air, and take in the challenge of climbing the stairs. People leave this place feeling light, breathing in the accomplishments of yesterday's and today's challenges.

Flavel House Museum

Walk the grounds, see the carriage house and maybe visit the inside of the home.

Oregon Film Museum

Get your photo taken with the Goonies jeep, visit the guest store for your favorite Goonie collection

Fort Astoria

see the Fort read the history, see a Rhododendron tree over 100 years old

Goonies House

Walk up the street to Mikey's house, take a photo

Hanthorn Cannery Museum

Watch the ships, sunsets, and sea lions at the 147 year old Hanthorn Cannery, on the Columbia River. Walk through the free Museum, Visit Vineside Wine Bar, Coffee Girl, Rogue Brewery and some fun shops with lots of Goonie Gear.

The guide, Katie, is really sweet and friendly. I was traveling solo, and as a Japanese non-native English speaker, she took great care of me and made me feel very comfortable. I’m really glad I took this tour. If you visit Astoria, I highly recommend it. You’ll get to learn almost everything about Astoria in an efficient and enjoyable way. If I visit Astoria again, I would love to see Katie again! Visited Astoria as part of a cruise ship stopover for one day. Was met at the cruise port on time by the owners (forgot their names) and were given a tour of everything to see in Astoria. Included a light lunch at a local park, some free time to walk around, and drop-off back at the cruise port. Lasted longer than the advertised 3 hours. Run by a husband and wife team. Would definitely recommend.

Katie and Bill (aka Mario, lol) were masters at last minute cruise ship snafu’s and revamping the tour to accommodate all. They were so much fun, knowledgeable, and truly love the area and promoting it. Anyone traveling to Astoria should book asap, especially as tour options and car services are extremely limited.
