The Freedom Trail is the big must do for anyone visiting Boston, and I knew that going in, but the question remained to do a tour or to self guide. We ended up getting the tour with Caitlin and it was far and above my expectations. She was witty and knowledgeable. She shared interesting anecdotes beyond the standard information for each site, but kept it from feeling like a history lesson with little puns, quibs, and jokes throughout. She was an amazing guide. She was loud, she kept track of everyone. She was great.

Caitlin Johnston was a great tour guide! Very clear, humorous, a great storyteller and easy to hear with challenging background noise šŸ˜ Also, extremely educational! Would recommend highly to anyone visiting Boston!

Caitlin was wonderful! If we had tried to guide ourself on the Freedom Trail I don't think we would have ever seen all 16 sites. The trail is mixed into the city of Boston and the sites are not as obvious as I had pictured. I think my family of 4 would have been in the way of all the people trying to live life in Boston while we were trying to find our way on the map. With Caitlin you didn't have to worry about this because not only did she take you to 11 of the 16 sites but she also gave you great information about each one. We went to the other 5 sites the next day. So worth the money!
