Tree Canopy Climbing on Lopez Island

Overview
Come experience the only old-growth tree climbing activity in the State of Washington and create some unforgettable memories. This is your chance to do something not even .1% of the population has done, but now you can. In small-groups climb together on 1-4 trees between 100 and 200 feet high, depending on your athletic level. Some of the trees are even rare old-growth trees. See the unique perspective above the canopy and feel what it's like to be eye level with an eagle as you climb/swing around like a monkey through the open air and catch branches, while safely harnessed by rope. Climb your way up some of the tallest trees in the world to amazing views of the upper canopy, mountains, and ocean. Connect to nature like you have never done before, beyond the trail.

During this activity you will explore the special ecology of old-growth trees and its importance in our environment and so much more.

Groups larger than 6 people, please contact us directly.

Our family, including my 12 year old daughter, went climbing earlier this week. What an AMAZING experience!! We have done several adventure experiences on various trips, but this truly was something unique. Great guide, we felt very safe the entire time. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a way to experience the brilliance of these big trees!!

This was such an excellent experience! I can't say enough how great these guys are. I ended up working with Leo to schedule my tree climb after some self-induced, unforeseen circumstances got in the way of the experience I originally booked (I'll blame it on the blonde hair). Not only was Leo willing to work with me to find a time that I could make it work, but he encouraged me to do it when I was ready to just call it a lost cause. It's such a treat to experience top-notch customer service when things go wrong and you're a thousand miles from home. As for the climb itself, Isaac was my instructor and he was wonderful. I appreciated how down-to-earth he is while still explaining things in a way that was super easy to follow and understand. Nothing about his demeanor seemed fake or rehearsed like it sometimes can with guides. He was patient with all of our questions and knowledgeable about the area. He even took time to give directions to various visitors of the park, and recommendations for the best pie on the island. This was the best part of my trip to Washington State. Do it!
