In 2002, the final dam on the Baraboo River was removed, making it the longest free-flowing river in the nation to be restored to its pre-settlement condition. Baraboo River Canoe & Kayak Rentals offers scenic Wisconsin kayak and canoe trips along the Baraboo River Corridor, at the base of the Baraboo Bluff Range. Enjoy a self guided leisurely float through the beautiful countryside, or experience an exciting but enjoyable canoe trip through the rapids that flow right through the city of Baraboo!

Website was easy to use and book our rentals, staff were friendly and helpful, river was incredibly clean and free of trash, shuttle bus and equipment and restroom facilities were clean. Easy paddling on this slow moving river made it easy to pause for photo ops, beautiful woods and wildlife. I appreciate that the staff gave friendly advice, and asked what we saw on our trip. There was a really cool handicap-accessible dock at our put-in at North Freedom, very easy to slide ourselves in. The take out at Giese Park was a gravel ramp, but easy to find good footing.
