In 2002, the final dam on the Baraboo River was removed, making it the longest free-flowing river in the nation to be restored to its pre-settlement condition. Baraboo River Canoe & Kayak Rentals offers scenic Wisconsin kayak and canoe trips along the Baraboo River Corridor, at the base of the Baraboo Bluff Range. Enjoy a self guided leisurely float through the beautiful countryside, or experience an exciting but enjoyable canoe trip through the rapids that flow right through the city of Baraboo!

Fabulous time on the Baraboo River and I can't say enough about the positive customer service we experienced. The online reservations were handy and very user friendly and when we arrived the check in was a breeze! The shuttle buses, boats, paddles & life jackets were extremely clean and well cared for. The staff was friendly and courteous...such a wonderful staff. We took Trip #2 (Giese Park to 113) and the rapids were fun, scenery was peaceful/serene and the best was being able to kayak right past the elephants at the circus. Talk about perfect timing!!! The shuttle service was there upon 5 minutes of our arrival and took us straight back with no waiting...I highly recommend this place!!

We did trip 4--11 miles. The staff was great--friendly, helpful, and informative. The rates for a canoe trip with shuttling at both ends was also really reasonable.
