Trolley Tour in Historic Jim Thorpe

Overview

Our historic trolley tour goes from the visitor center at 2 Susquehanna St. through the Jim Thorpe Memorial, the Lehigh Gorge State Park, up Broadway past all the shops, restaurants, and museums to the Mauch Chunk Lake and drop off back at the visitor center. This 70 minute tour is a great way to see most of the town of Jim Thorpe, some of our beautiful natural scenery, great things to do while in town, and our historic buildings along Broadway! Our tour is a live narration with some of the interesting history of the town as well as our name sake.

Truth, we did not go on the trolley ride however the reason I rated it so high is because of how they handled a cancellation due to a snowstorm. I received a text, email and phone call to advise me of the cancellation. They asked if we wanted to reschedule. Because we do not know when we will be visiting Jim Thorpe we requested a refund and it was promptly taken care of.

Jim Thorpe is an historic and interesting town. The narrative on our tour was filled with interesting facts and the ride included some fun/goofy parts with music (very loud) accompanying us. I highly recommend the trolley tour and would book it again if I’m in Jim Thorpe.
