Trolley Tour in Historic Jim Thorpe

Overview

Our historic trolley tour goes from the visitor center at 2 Susquehanna St. through the Jim Thorpe Memorial, the Lehigh Gorge State Park, up Broadway past all the shops, restaurants, and museums to the Mauch Chunk Lake and drop off back at the visitor center. This 70 minute tour is a great way to see most of the town of Jim Thorpe, some of our beautiful natural scenery, great things to do while in town, and our historic buildings along Broadway! Our tour is a live narration with some of the interesting history of the town as well as our name sake.

Location to catch the trolley being right at Information Center was easy to locate. The guide was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and pointed out key areas of interest. We were fortunate to have a reasonably warm day so the window covering was rolled up improving viewing. 90 minutes was “just right” for length of the tour,
