Trolley Tour in Historic Jim Thorpe

Overview

Our historic trolley tour goes from the visitor center at 2 Susquehanna St. through the Jim Thorpe Memorial, the Lehigh Gorge State Park, up Broadway past all the shops, restaurants, and museums to the Mauch Chunk Lake and drop off back at the visitor center. This 70 minute tour is a great way to see most of the town of Jim Thorpe, some of our beautiful natural scenery, great things to do while in town, and our historic buildings along Broadway! Our tour is a live narration with some of the interesting history of the town as well as our name sake.

Tour guide exceptional in conveying history of Jim Thorpe & humorous too keeping us entertained through the journey. Sarah at check-in counter very helpful & gracious! Seats a bit uncomfortable but worth the experience.

The driver/guide was very knowledgeable & a good sense of humor. He was very entertaining & made the trip enjoyable. Never a boring moment. Loved the music which was played at just the right timing & went well with the tour. Thank you again. We had 5 total to the party & we had fun & made the birthday girl happy.

Ed was a fantastic guide! If this is your 1st trip to Jim Thorpe, I would recommend doing the trolley tour before anything else in the area. You get a fantastic overview of all the sites and recommendations for dining and other off the beaten path options.
