Overview

This course gives you a real scuba diving experience during which you will go out on the dive boat and do 2 dives on our beautiful coral reefs with one of our instructors. You will see uncountable varieties of colorful fish and possibly nurse sharks, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, goliath groupers and barracudas. We have no dangerous animals on our reefs, so you can relax and enjoy!

The price of this full day adventure includes everything you need for the experience (academics, rental gear, pool training, instructor for the whole day), and at the end of the day your souvenir certificate. All you need is a swimsuit and a towel.

Please note that you must be able to swim in order to learn how to scuba dive. You must also be in excellent health.

We made phone calls and e-mail conversation in advance to complete our PADI open water certificate - we had only two dives left as we were actually wanted to complete the certificate in Antigua however we catched a stomach bug and got sick so we did only 2 out of the 4 dives. We were told by Scuba fun staff that we do not need a reservation and we just should stop by and they will try to accompdate us. Also we are both native Germans we thought it would be fun to have a German dive instructor as we had in Antigua which we did not necessary looked for but found incidentally. Anyway, when we finally arrived after 3 days straight driving from Minnesota we went to the dive shop to meet Yvonne and Anya and we had only a 15-20minute conversation to decide that this is not the team / shop we would like to trust. Anya was rather rude and unfriendly, pointing out they and everybody else might be booked at this point and she would do us a HUGE favor if she would not take her so deserved day off as she was supposed to. We had a reservation at the John Pennecamp state park and we did know that they do have a dive shop but had not explored at any further because we were relying on scuba fun. Anya told us they do not have any instructors anyway and might send us to them. Well -glad we did not believe them, checked into the camp ground and explored the dive shop at the state park next day. It was the best thing we could have done the people were super nice, booked the two of us with their dive instructor -who was fun, trustworthy and just a pleasure to be around - for the next day. In summary, if you look at a nice and caring dive instructor we can NOT recommend Anya (I can not speak about the rest of the team). She would not be somebody I would like to trust when going diving as a novice diver regardless with or without a PADI certificate. Chris and Detlef, Minneapolis, MN

I did my open water dive certification with Scuba Fun and am looking forward to doing additional certifications with them. They are very responsive, extremely polite and very knowledgeable! Great company to go with!

You can't go wrong with this dive center! All the dives were through Horizon Divers but Scuba Fun took care of the arrangements. Great sites with great instructors!
