Aunt Gary was a great guide, very well informed and obviously loves his job and Alaska. The views were amazing. Loved seeing the salmon spawning, the rainforest walk and the Conservation Center. Really a beautiful drive. Glad to be able to sit back and enjoy it while someone else drove.

Pouring rain and blowing hard when driver stops and tells everyone we are going on a nature hike! No one was prepared for anything like this!! Everyone got very wet. It appears they will do anything to get their money for the trip even though no one could enjoy it and were miserable.

I am so sorry you got wet during you tour visiting our rainforest and that our unpredictable weather and rain that creates the beauty of Alaska was not cooperative and ruined your tour. In all fairness the write ups listed almost everywhere gave you warnings of what months to expect rain and when rain was most likely. Please don’t hold the tour and drive accountable for Mother Nature in reviews because that is unfair. Every tour operator in the world operates rain or shine especially when people come here knowing that our harsh seasons and climate is what makes Alaska. We cannot avoid stops that we promise on our tour description because of rain. Because that would mean we were not delivering a service that we promised and at that point we would be held accountable and obligated to compensate people for not doing what they bought. You do however have the option to choose to get out or stay in the van as drivers are not required to force you to battle the elements if you feel you can't handle getting wet. In your scenario review/complaint, is it your suggestion that the driver make the stop and not let anyone out but describe what the people or missing and go to the next stop? Wouldn't many if not all other customers complain that the driver did not let them make their own mind up and choice of whether they could handle the rain and by their own choice to get take in the sites that they wanted to see and get wet. Please in your next review don't make it about weather because as you know we can’t be held accountable for Mother Nature. Most of the people rather than sit and complain said the elements made the tour even more natural interesting and it was exciting tour. They even commented how the rain was invigorating and laughed about the fact that unforeseeable weather beyond anyone's control is what they knew to expect and they came prepared to enjoy the beatify of Alaska which is dependent on rain. After all what else could one expect when visiting one of Alaska larges rainforest?

We enjoyed the information Chris gave us as we traveled along. Loved Portage Lake and seeing the glaciers. Also glad to see the silver salmon.
