It was a rainy day but we still had a great time. Our guide was Stefan. You could sense his love for this area. He was very knowledgeable and knew the food. I enjoyed trying so many different kinds of food. Every other food tour we have been on, the guide talks about gratuity at the end of the tour. Stefan did not even mention tipping. (We did tip, but it was nice to not have the uncomfortable request) Would definitely do another tour from this company again if in the area.

Hi Lenajean! I'm so glad that rainy weather didn't dampen your tour experience with us. ;) We may be a bit biased, but we agree that Stefan is pretty darn great. We'd love to have you join another tour on your next visit to DC! Cheers, Mary

Hi Ciaran! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your tour with us. We'd love to have you join again - on our U St tour or one of the others we offer in Georgetown on Old Town Alexandria. :)

This was the first "food tour" that myself and my wife have ever signed up for, and it did not disappoint! We didn't just taste a wide variety of delicious dishes, but were entertained by our guide's knowledge of how each restaurant fit into the fabric of the community and the history behind them. The mixture of food, history, and art was amazing and would highly recommend Carpe DC Food Tours to locals and tourists alike!

Hi wacky! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your experience with us. You are exactly correct - we aim to tell the history of the neighborhoods we feature through food; our tastings are carefully selected to help share that story. We hope you consider joining another one of our tours...or, at the very least, we've inspired you to consider taking food tours in other cities then you travel! Cheers, Mary
