We love to do food/walking tours in every city we visit, and this was among the best. Our guide, Tiffany, was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job. When visiting DC we often get inundated with our national history, which is fine, but often we do not get a feel for the local history of the District. This tour provided interesting history of the U Street Corridor plus four awesome food/beverage tastings. We loved it and, if you're a foodie/history buff, you will too!

We had a great afternoon on the walking tour and tried some great food and learnt lots. We had never had Ethiopian quisine before and it was amazing. Tiffany was an excellent guide and it felt we were on an extended lunch with friends.

Absolutely a MUST if you're a foodie and want to experience local history through delicious morsels and a fantastic guide. Part art tour (amazing murals), part architecture, part food, we all walked away with some great photos and full bellies. I'd never had Ethiopian food, and this unctuous, amazing fare was the highlight for me! Yea, go google unctuous... it's ok, I'll wait... A final stop at a tea shop provided the elixir I needed for my flight home, and the owner is simply amazing at helping to soothe your ails. We'd come back to do this again; the local history and how DC became DC was so very interesting!

Hi Cat! Thanks for this awesome review. So glad that we were able to introduce you to a new type of food! We love all the owners of the restaurants where we stop; I'm glad that you were able to meet the owner of Calabash and have her make some recommendations for you. We hope you do come back to DC and explore another neighborhood with us. :) Cheers, Mary
