My sister and I were disappointed in the tour. The guide was nice but the choice of foods was not good a mini chili dog with fries smothered in chili and cheese sauce, Ethiopian food, a small kale salad at a market store, a bite of Quinoa ball for desert and sample size of chai tea. I feel like food tours are intended to show you the local places that tourists do not know about with amazing food that will make you want to come back to visit the next time your in town. We went to four stops and I will not visit any of them when I come back to DC. In fact, we left hungry and unsatisfied. This tour was not worth the money. I have been on numerous food tours all over the United States and for 131.40, this one is at the bottom of my list.

This is a great food tour that allows visitors to learn so much about the surrounding area. It was a fun a day and I would love to try one of the other tours in another area. Also, Amanda was a fantastic guide who really knew her stuff! (Alcohol pairings were also fantastic, would recommend)

I attended the CarpeDC food and walking tour of the historic U Street area with my team from work. It was a fantastic way to spend a Friday night. Our tour guide Stefan was really knowledgeable about the area, and it was really cool to hear the history of U Street juxtaposed with viewing the modern murals that decorate the area. Started off the food with a halfsmoke from Ben's Chili Bowl, followed by delicious Ethiopian cuisine at Dukem, a stop for beer and shopping at Glen's Garden market, and ended with wonderful tea and a sweet bite at Calabash. Would highly recommend for groups or families, such a nice change from the usual monuments tour of DC.
