I've lived in Shaw for about 2 years and learned so much about my own neighborhood I didn't know before. The curation of stops seemed incredibly thoughtful and really helped me form a better idea of the history and impact of U st. Our guide was very knowledgable and easy to talk to, and all of the food was great!

Our guide was very knowledgable about the area and told us lots of interesting facts about the historical significance of U Street, including art and music tidbits. I am new to D.C., so this food tour was a great way to quickly grasp what this neighborhood is all about. Yummy food, beautiful murals, and great people!

Amanda our guide was very nice and knowledgeable of the area. Was a nice retreat from the normal mall activities.Location in historic DC area. Learned quite a bit about the local history. The food stops were a nice eclectic choice with the first being a great chili location from a Thai native. The Chili was definitely full of spices as Thailand is known for. The second was Ethiopian providing nice authentic dishes. The third was a local speciality organic food market with products from only the eastern seaboard. And lastly was a very interesting tea shop with all types of teas for all types of medicinal purposes. Amanda provided quite a bit of interesting facts at each location and also along the way during the walk. Would recommend to anyone wanting to do something differently than the standard museum stops.
