Overview

Our Exclusive VIP whale watching tours are 2 hours long with a maximum of 12 guests. Our small groups make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard. Our inflatable rafting vessels are safe, travel quickly to find whales and a fun ride for the whole family.

See Humpback Whales that have traveled 3000 miles from Alaska to give birth and mate in a the protected Maui Nui sanctuary off Lahaina where the waters are known for being warm and calm. On our whale watches we could travel anywhere from 2 to 10 miles from Lahaina harbor, often encountering dolphins in addition to humpback whales. Guarantee whale sightings Dec-April, or go again for FREE!

We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements.

Incredible!! We went the last week in February and saw so many amazing whales! The boats let you get super close (without breaking any rules, only if the whales approach you). Seriously one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had!

Visited some friends on Maui and a group of us went out with Ultimate Whale Watching in the late afternoon towards the end of Feb.2020. We had a great experience and it was a beautiful day. We saw probably 10 - 12 different humpback whales during the 3 hour tour. Its a fun ride on the raft boat. Saw some baby whales who were very active. Lots of breaching and other playful activity. The hydrophone was really cool so you can hear the male whales singing, trying to find a mate. These are massive creatures and the boats try to stay about 100 yards from the whales as to not disturb them, sometimes a bit closer.

Our guides, Vinny and James were amazing. We saw so many whales and even had the rare opportunity of a whale swimming under our boat and then popping up within several feet of our boat! This excursion is the best and I would do it again in a heartbeat❤
