Overview

Our Exclusive VIP whale watching tours are 2 hours long with a maximum of 12 guests. Our small groups make every seat a front row seat as you enjoy whale watching and educational talks from our marine naturalist onboard. Our inflatable rafting vessels are safe, travel quickly to find whales and a fun ride for the whole family.

See Humpback Whales that have traveled 3000 miles from Alaska to give birth and mate in a the protected Maui Nui sanctuary off Lahaina where the waters are known for being warm and calm. On our whale watches we could travel anywhere from 2 to 10 miles from Lahaina harbor, often encountering dolphins in addition to humpback whales. Guarantee whale sightings Dec-April, or go again for FREE!

We are locally owned and operated since 1982 and every ticket supports our participation in marine research projects and our role as certified first responders to whale entanglements.

Ultimate was recommended to me by a local and they were Great. I went on 3/14/20. Captain Nick had us viewing a mother and calf within 10 minutes from leaving the harbor. Soon after we saw a fantastic breach and continued to view many animals for the next three hours . Heather was our naturalist. She was friendly and knowledgeable and her presence added to the experience. It was AWESOME! I get seasick in small boats so I took motion sickness pills an hour before the trip. I felt great the entire time and could thoroughly enjoy the experience. I highly recommend taking this tour .

We’ve been on Maui for a week and used a couple whale watch companies. We went with ultimate whale watch a couple of times and they are by far the best!! At this point I won’t use another company. It was AMAZING

This is the best ever whale watch around. I went on 10 with them and each one was thrilling! What makes it great is there staff, Hannah, Emma, Joel, Jeremiah, and Gabe are all very knowledgeable and talented.
