Laura is an excellent guide. She made the tour very interesting and we all had a good time on it. Over the Rhine is particularly interesting to me as my great-great grandparents moved there from Germany in the 1850's. My great-grandfather was orphaned when his mother fell from the third story of a building while she was washing a window. I shivered as I looked to see just how high that was! I was amazed at what a densely populated area it was and it helped me imagine more about my ancestors. The scope of the German influence and specifically the beer industry was astounding. Loved the underground part and the very unusual art installation. Laura had so many interesting tidbits to share. The tour also was a great picture of how the OTR area is being restored and made into a really cool destination. (If you have never been to the Farmers Market, Washington Park and the Music Hall in OTR, be sure to take them in as well.) Highly recommend. We are non-drinkers, so we didn't sample the beer. But as you walk down the streets with Laura, look for where you want to have dinner afterwards. And save room for Graeters ice cream (just across the street from the tour storefront. I highly recommend the tour!
