Took the Ultimate Underground Tour over the Labor Day weekend. This 2-1/2 hour walking tour focuses on the old German neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine, its significant brewing industry and some of its colorful characters from the late 1800's to the repeal of Prohibition in the early 1930's. Our very able guides Miranda and Melanie provided insight and humor to the history to make the history come alive and entertaining. A bottle of cold water was provided for the tour as was a glass of excellent cold beer at the Taft Brewhouse at the end of the trip. We look forward to taking another American Legacy Tour next time in Cincinnati.

We did this tour on August 8, 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed it! Laura was our guide and she did a wonderful job of giving us the history and telling stories about the Over-the-Rhine area of Cincinnati. We have been coming to Cincinnati for over 10 years to visit family and we try to do/see something related to this area each time we come. This was a two-hour walking tour but we did not find it difficult (we are 66 and 69). There were some steep stairs as you descend into the recently found tunnels which were used at one time to store Lager beer as it needed to be stored in cool environment. Laura told an interesting story how these tunnels were found. The tour of the underground crypt was very interesting, too. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Fun tour of Over-the-Rhine region of Cincy. Craig provided anecdotes, history, commentary and beer history with a fun delivery. Tunnels and underground breweries were appropriately dusty and creepy but completely safe. Wear walking boots or shoes needed - walking surfaces are dirt and uneven and may be wet. Final stop at local pub was perfect after a hot 2 hours of walking. Parking is a challenge so get there early to have time to find a spot.
