The five of us (myself, my 2 grown kids with their partners) did the Underground tour this past weekend on a Sunday afternoon. All of us live and work in Greater Cincinnati. In addition, there was another group of 4 also from the area, a guy from San Francisco by himself, and three people (husband and wife and teenage daughter) originally from China. The entire group was immediately welcomed and put at ease by our tour guide Zak, an ex-Marine and ex-HS teacher. He was bursting with energy and information that he couldn't wait to share with the group. The tour itself was nothing short of fantastic, exploring Over the Rhine, including the crypt under the St. Francis Seraph church and then the tour's "piece de resistance", an "under-Underground" site that was just spectacular. Along the way Zak provided a wealth of data and trivia, and he remained flexible as to the group's needs. At one point, someone asked "what is the name of this street", and impromptu Zak changed the tour's itinerary to explain the name of the street and why its name had changed at some point. Bottom line: these 2 hours just flew by in no time, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Please tip your tour guide very generously! They absolutely deserve it!

Such a good tour. Laura was so personable and knowledgeable about several aspects of Cincinnati history. The history and transformation of the Over The Rhine district was fascinating; the story of the hidden tunnels equally so. And she sent us on our way with a great referral to Taftā€™s for a local brew in an amazing setting.
