What To Expect
1
Strasburg
Stop at the farm where the Academy Award winning movie "Witness" was filmed. You will have a chance to tour the beautiful Amish farm which remains much as it was in the movie, interact with their many animals and possibly meet the wonderful Amish family who owns the farm. This is a completely private stop and not available to the public. We will stop at a private and beautiful Amish home, where the kids make birdhouses. Witness Amish craftsmanship up close in the artisan stable and barn - and purchase a birdhouse if you like.
2
Paradise
Tour of an operating, private Amish dairy farm dating back to 1830's
3
Amish Country
We will take a driving tour through beautiful Lancaster County farmland and learn about the history, culture, religion, and education of the Amish. We will see buildings associated with the very first European settlers from more than 300 years ago, covered bridges, 19th century mills, and more on our way to our first stop.
4
Strasburg
Stop at an Amish owned and operated creamery, where your ice cream is included, and the views are free too. This is ice cream as it should be... rich, fresh, and delicious!
5
Ronks
Shop where the Amish shop, not the tourists. Natural food stores are a staple for the Amish and we will go to an out of the way gem, for an up close look at this Amish run business.

Our guide Dale gave us this very interesting and informative tour and we learned a lot about Amish people (their schools, families & life style, farms, group gathering for worship, horses & cows and etc. ) and really appreciate it! Love the ice cream Amish people made and we also bought a dozen eggs from the ice cream store. Dale's enthusiasm and knowledge is a A+!!

The entire tour was amazing. We had a small group the day of the tour. We toured a few historic cemeteries, farm houses and had the best ice cream. Worth the price of the tour. He also suggested stores and restaurants to visit.

we would definitely do this tour again! We had the opportunity to personally meet some Amish families. They so graciously answered our questions and allowed us a look at their beautiful farms. Although the family who lived at the farm where the Witness was filmed was not home, we still had the opportunity to see the farm from the outside and our tour guide was very information about that and everything. He was very good! My almost 13-year-old granddaughter also immensely enjoyed the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour!
