What To Expect

Strasburg

Stop at the farm where the Academy Award winning movie "Witness" was filmed. You will have a chance to tour the beautiful Amish farm which remains much as it was in the movie, interact with their many animals and possibly meet the wonderful Amish family who owns the farm. This is a completely private stop and not available to the public. We will stop at a private and beautiful Amish home, where the kids make birdhouses. Witness Amish craftsmanship up close in the artisan stable and barn - and purchase a birdhouse if you like.

Paradise

Tour of an operating, private Amish dairy farm dating back to 1830's

Amish Country

We will take a driving tour through beautiful Lancaster County farmland and learn about the history, culture, religion, and education of the Amish. We will see buildings associated with the very first European settlers from more than 300 years ago, covered bridges, 19th century mills, and more on our way to our first stop.

Strasburg

Stop at an Amish owned and operated creamery, where your ice cream is included, and the views are free too. This is ice cream as it should be... rich, fresh, and delicious!

Jamie was an amazing guide, full of knowledge and very open about the Amish culture. We just wish we spent less time sitting in the van and more time exploring. Pulling to the side and explaining doesn’t do the same justice. Not to take away from what a great guide Jamie is, just what the program allows

Thanks for your review! We appreciate the feedback. For anyone considering booking this experience, we do make 4 separate stops at Amish properties and have the opportunity to explore 3 of them, while the other is a stop at an Amish farm for ice cream.

We visited several Amish farms - actually got out of the van and walked around the farm. At one stop we got ice cream too. The tour guide had a nice, calm voice and gave us lots of information. The area is beautiful. The pick up spot is at the Visitor Center - my map program had difficulty finding the address as the buildng faces a road that is not the road the address is on. Nice tour - plan to do it again when we visit with the family.

What a great afternoon. This is a 3 hour van ride with multiple stops at beautiful Amish homes/farms. Our tour guide, Mike, was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. We drove through the very scenic back roads of PA on our way to each farm. Mike told us the history of the Amish from the time they arrived in the US until current day. They are very hard working and their history is fascinating. We also got homemade ice cream at one of the farms. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Mike for a great tour.
