Package a thrilling zipline tour with the Upper Clear Creek 1/2 Day rafting trip for an adventure of a lifetime! Start off the day on AVA’s Cliffside Zipline Tour. With 6 exciting lines and additional features such as the Jungle Bridge and dual race line, you will be soaring through the trees. Finish your course with an exciting 450 foot line running directly over Chicago Creek and landing back at our outpost. Up next, it's time to raft the thrilling whitewater of the Upper Clear Creek! Starting high in the canyon, you’ll encounter 30 major rapids on this 8-mile trip dropping an incredible 1,300 vertical feet. This continuous, steep, technical section will keep your paddle moving and your heart thumping as you crash through pulsing, class IV rapids. As you marvel at the beautiful Colorado scenery, keep a lookout for Big Horn Sheep, river otters, deer, and other native wildlife. Either pack a lunch or eat in Idaho Springs between trips.

What To Expect

Idaho Springs

AVA's Idaho Springs zip line tour offers 6 exciting zips through the beautiful Clear Creek Valley, plus 5 additional features such as our Jungle Bridge, 50-foot cliffside free fall, Surf Zip, 600-foot dual race line, & Bridge of Doom. The course is weaved into our forested, 9-acre private property with stunning mountain views. You begin your day flying from ridge to ridge over a forest of Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pines. Then start descending into the forest flying from tree to tree at speeds up to 30 miles mph as you make your way down the mountain Finish off with an exciting 450 foot line running directly over Chicago Creek and landing in the backyard of our office. Our course follows the contours of the mountain providing a truly unique experience.

Clear Creek Canyon

The Upper Clear Creek 1/2 Day river rafting trip provides an exciting experience for adventurous first-timers and experienced rafters. There is just enough time to warm up before you drop into the first advanced rapid on this thrilling stretch of Clear Creek river rafting! Just minutes from Denver, this continuous, steep, technical section will keep your paddle moving and your heart pounding as you crash through 8 miles of rapids such as Nomad, Phoenix Holes and Outer Limits. As you marvel at the beautiful Colorado scenery, keep a lookout for Big Horn Sheep, river otters, deer and other native wildlife that are commonly spotted on many of our Colorado whitewater rafting trips.

Had a blast! It was my first time rafting and first time zip lining and the guides (Seth and Eric for rafting, Tim and Randi for zip lining) made it a memorable and fun experience. We ended up having to add an extra person to our group at the last minute and the staff was super helpful and managed to make it work. Highly recommend!

A group of 8 of us came all the way from Wisconsin to Idaho Springs and had a blast ziplining with Martina and Otter! Thank you guys so much for making us laugh, keeping us confident, and most importantly ensuring we were safe! I am extremely scared of heights but they made sure I had fun! Thanks again. Will be recommending ziplining in Idaho Springs for sure.
