Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

My family did the lower Pigeon last Tuesday, but the kids begged to do the upper. As a last minute surprise and one last Hoorah before leaving the Smokies to return to Arkansas, my husband and I agreed to it. I was so concerned as this would only be the second time for my 11 year old twins to ever be on the river and I know how rough the water can be. We were not far into the float when I realized our guide, Chike, was totally in control and would get us through it safely. He was fun and a great conversationalist. We will float with SMO again in the future. Tip your guides. These ladies and gents work hard to provide you a safe and pleasurable adventure!! Thank you Chike!

This company is the best I’ve ever been with! trips were called out on time, all the guides looked excited, and our guide, Carson, was the best guide ever. He was very informative and very funny but serious when he needed to be. Would 100% recommend to any friends and family
