Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

In compliance with updated Tennessee guidelines, we are frequently sanitizing our gear and have marked floor guides so you can keep social distance within our retail building. Please bring a face mask for the bus shuttle. A ziplock bag will keep it dry during your river trip.

Our guide was Tyler. He was incredibly informative and engaging with us. He made sure that we were safe and had a fun experience. It rained while we were on the water, and that made it really feel like an epic adventure! All around the facility, equipment and staff (from office to guide) were great! Thank you SMO!

This was our second time rafting with Smoky Mountain Outdoor. We did both the upper and lower river tours. Hillary did our upper trip and Brett did our lower trip. Both great guides. Don’t let rain scare you off! Both times we went it poured rain but was still so much fun! The pictures we got were awesome, too. Highly recommend the upper for more exciting rapids. The lower is more like a float trip. You can get out and swim a little on either trip.
