Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum weight is 70 lbs (32 kg)
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Our tour guide was tight he was really entertaining and made the experience overall really great! Our group had a really fun time even if the water was freezing.

Family of 6 - mom dad + 4 kids. We were nervous but felt at ease once we got in the boat and started down the river. Jean Paul navigated effortlessly, gave clear instructions for paddling and was friendly and engaging. Thanks for a great experience!

There are different companies to choose from for your water rafting. I loved my experience with Smoky Mountain Outdoors. The outpost was organized and easy access - lots of signs to know where to go from parking, checking in, getting your pictures, etc. They take you on a bus up the river and you raft down and end up in the same place you park. No other bus ride needed. With Some of the other companies you will have to take a bus ride back to your car afterwards. They have changing rooms/lockers/gift shop. Our guide, Jean Paul, was very nice and attentive especially with our kids. He quickly adjusted them according to skill level. He was knowledgeable about the area and gave us a little history about the river. Kept us safe while getting plenty of excitement in the level 4 waters. Pictures were taken, I got my text with link before I even got back to the car with 15 pictures. It is a great thing to do with the family. We had 3 kids with us (11, 13 and 14).
