Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

Best rafting in the area and a memorable experience for my family! Rafting, Camping, and so much more! We were given a warm welcomed at the gate and directed to park and how to check-in. The team worked together and the process was painless. They were very organized compared to other companies. The bus ride was fun and full of energy. Josh was our guide and he steered us perfectly through the huge rapids. A couple members of my family were nervous prior to the trip. but Josh put them at ease. Josh was engaging, professional, and he seemed to enjoy his job. After our trip we enjoyed a good lunch at the Outpost. Instead of driving home, we rented one of their Cabins for the night. The Cabin and Bathrooms were very clean and we had plenty room. They even had a pool. After the sun went down it was nice to relax by a fire along the river and spend quality time with my family. We are already planning our next trip...

This was my second time river rafting and it was a great experience. Smoky Mountain Outdoors was very organized in getting us matched up with our "team", raft and guide. The store is a convenient way to purchase water shoes and any gear you might need while on the water. Miami was our raft guide and he was awesome! He provided clear instruction on how to row and he cracked jokes throughout the ride. He made the ride enjoyable and made everyone feel comfortable and safe. The rapids were nothing too big, all seemed pretty easy, even the "big" IV. The water didn't seem that rough at all. I would have loved a little more action on the river, as most of the ride was slow moving, with little rapids. Maybe it's the time of year, but either way it was fun! The pictures they take for you while rafting come out great! Although the price for photos seems a little steep, I guess to capture that memory it's worth it. I would recommend Smoky Mountain Outdoors for your rafting experience, especially for first timers. I think next time I'll try the more extreme rafting they offer.

We had never done whitewater rafting so we picked a milder trip, but not too mild. Guides were very good and we had fun. We did think the photos were very expensive. We might have purchased one pic but not interested in the entire flash drive for 25.00.
