Memorial is beautiful and somber , as I remember it, Extremely moving respectfully to our veterans. Do not bother purchasing this trip . As the fine print states this trip does not include the boat ride to the memorial and you still Have to get on the website, get tickets and find a time slot for boat availability. You cannot purchase the tickets at the ticket booth at the memorial, they will make you scan the bar code and purchase via website ( only $1.00 per person). The theater prior to the boat ride is closed due to COVID19. The Virtual reality package included in this tour are goggles which we opted out of due to hygiene reasons and COVID19. The narrated android phone included with this tour is nice to have and headphones are hygienic and disposable. No need to waste your money on this package, My recommendation is go to the website, make a reservation buy boat tickets for $1.00 per person. Once you get to the memorial you can make your own decision depending your comfort level on the Android narrated device $7.50 and the virtual reality goggles $4.50 as you can purchase them at the booths. Large bags are not allowed in the memorial only a wallet , water bottle and phone.

The time spent on the actual memorial above the sunken battleship was a very sobering yet pride inspiring experience. The park rangers are very versed in WWII history and especially the events of Dec. 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor. Visiting the Arizona memorial was on my bucket list. I am so glad that I experienced it.

So very disappointed in Pearl Harbor. This was top on my husband’s list for our trip to Hawaii but we were both so shocked on the lack of reverence and honor given to the fallen heroes. The site was very spread out and there were kids and teenagers just running all over like it was a theme park. The recorded headset was passed out by a teenage staff who had no clue how to use, where they were or what the Pearl Harbor site was even about. We turn in the headset after 10 minutes, walked the site and left. We spoke to another couple in their late 40’s the next day on the road to Hana and they felt the same way. The site needs to staff people who show more care for American history and the men and women who died to keep us free! Very saddened American!
