The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center has a no bag policy. Any bags, packages, or containers that offer concealment (e.g., purses, handbags, backpacks, fanny packs, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage) that exceed the dimensions of 1.25" x 2.25" x 5.5" are not allowed. The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum operates a baggage storage facility near the visitor center entrance, with a fee for all sizes, including luggage. This storage can be used for visits to all Pearl Harbor Historic Sites.

During your visit to Pearl Harbor National Memorial, you will be able to witness the USS Arizona Memorial. Even though Boat Shuttle tickets to go out on the water to the USS Arizona Memorial are not included, this world-renowned Memorial can be seen from Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. To obtain boat tickets, join the free in person Virtual Standby Queue upon arrival to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center or reserve tickets ahead of time at recreation.gov for $1 booking fee per ticket)

How can you visit Oahu and not tour this monument. These men and women who served to protect us and they lost their lives and history was altered.

We had to get up early the day before and get online to get tickets - somewhat of a hassle when you are vacay - so that is why i gave them 4 vs 5. It's a "free" tour however so you can't beat that. We walked up and got our tickets, waited a bit looking through the nice gift store and then lined up for the theater- watched historical movie documentary with approx 40 ppl and then got on boat ride to go by the USS Memorial, which was closed due to construction and repairs. Kinda a bummer but what can you do!? We walked around and looked at a few other displays and then left... i think they could do a better job at outlining exactly what is at Pearl Harbor and how to tour the whole facility. It is very haphazard and not exactly clear on how to get to the sub and other vessel. We were short on time so we left a bit early - and it was very hot in the middle of the day with very little shade.

We had booked our tickets months earlier and had been looking forward to visiting Pearl Harbour to view the USS Arizona Memorial until we found out the actual floating observation dock was being repaired and not able to be used for viewing. We were still taken by ferry relatively close to the general area of the Arizona but I think something was missing and were a little disappointed. The visitor centre with movie theatre and museum exhibit was still impressive and very informative but we will have to make it back one day to finally view the memorial site from the proper observation platform once it’s reopened.
