What To Expect

Valley of Fire State Park

Keep your eyes peeled for Native American petroglyphs throughout the park and learn about the many Native American cultures who made the Valley of Fire their home. You’ll also see the famous Atlatl Rock, Elephant Rock and Rainbow Vista before you venture into the petrified sand dunes of Fire Canyon. Short hike at Mouse's Tank.

A creative expression of human presence in the desert, Seven Magic Mountains punctuates the Mojave with a poetic burst of form and color.

Valley of Fire is a must see attraction. It is gorgeous. It's good to go early in the morning so it's not too hot. This is close to Las Vegas and ideal to get away from the city for a short time. Red Rock is a beautiful too, but I like Valley of Fire better. Seven mountains is ok. Our guide, David, from Coexist West was kind, helpful and knowledgeable . We made a few stops to do short hikes and took pictures. He offered to take many of our pictures. My husband and I booked the group tour but there were no others on that day (Wednesday), so this became a private tour just for us. Glad that they didn't cancel.

Valley of Fire was Awesome!!!! The other sites were pretty good too. Highly recommend. David did an excellent job with the tour.

We had such a great time exploring Valley of Fire state park! David knew that we didn’t want to do much hiking but at the same time, see everything the park had to offer. We wouldn’t have been able to see all of the great parts of the park without him. He even took pictures for us which we love! We will definitely be booking another tour with him next time we’re in Vegas.
