We seem to have developed a thing for train rides and try one out most places we go that offer this activity. This train was by far superior to others we have ridden. The tables were nice and seating exceptional in the first class experience. The food offering was quite ample for a lunch and you are encouraged to eat all you want after everyone has been to the table. The have to throw it away at the turn around point so that tells you the food is fresh and never left overs. The bar service was very nice with a great selection of libations. The scenery was beautiful as all of Sedona is and most saw a bald eagle as an added bonus. The attendants on the train are so friendly and informative and just fun especially the docent on the outdoor car( I think was Dusty) and full of stories. Our activity at another location prior to the ride did not pan out so we arrived quite early and glad we did. They offer an eatery, gift shop and great museum to fill the time waiting for the train departure. Parking is ample as well and easy and free. Unfortunately, the weather was threatening through most of our ride and rainy on the return but the experience was still so worth the money and time.

Service was excellent, scenery fantastic, hosts were superb A great experience. We saw a bear with her cub, which our host said in all the trips he had been on; he had never seen a bear. Saw eagles, free range long horn cattle and where a beaver had cut down a tree.

This train ride takes about 4 hours and only runs once per day. Tickets are pricey but the scenery is not only amazing but beautiful. There is only one coach train at around $70.00 each and all the others are 1st class at around $100.00 each and I believe the caboose only holds 6 people at an additional $20.00 that you have to reserve about a year prior. The ride can be inside the air-conditioned car or outside car. It has beautiful scenery and great history with some wild life seen. One of the better attractions of this area.
