Great scenery and interesting geology. Took my three boys on the trip and while they were some of the youngest there they were by far more than entertained and educated about the local history and geology of the region. Food was OK, but you do not come on the train to eat a full lunch or dinner. Consider the food as snacks, something to tide you by until your next meal. Beverage service is outstanding as well as the tour guide assigned to each car. Can not say enough good things about our experience. Reasonably priced as well.

I booked this for my husband's 50th birthday and I am so glad I did. We are locals and have heard of the train for years but never had the chance to take a ride. It was a beautiful trip with very comfortable seating. Our bartender was great. She was very interesting and went out of her way to make sure everyone was comfortable. The weather was perfect so we spent quite a bit of time in the outside car looking around. The drinks were good, there were a few snacks. We will definitely do this again at a different time of year. I imagine each season has it's own beauty.

Great time riding through a beautiful area of natural beauty. The canyon sights are worth the trip as you ride in vintage railroad cars of the past. 4 hours of enjoyment.
