Our group of six adventurous women, all 55+, set out in search of a true challenge, and we found it with Wildland Trekking. We chose this trek because of its timing and the level of difficulty, and it surpassed all our expectations. Our guides, Rafi and Morgan, were absolutely incredible. They brought a perfect blend of expertise, charisma, and unyielding motivation that kept us going every step of the way. The uphill climb to Snow Creek was undeniably tough, but we tackled it in stages, relishing the challenge and the breathtaking views at every turn. What made this experience even more special were the three other women on our journey—we didn’t know them when we started, but we left as lifelong friends. This truly was a life-changing adventure. To top it all off, the food was delicious, expertly prepared to fuel us for each day’s challenge. We’ve traveled with another company before (which shall remain unnamed), but there’s no comparison. Wildland Trekking stands in a league of its own. The seamless communication throughout the registration process and the journey itself was exceptional. Rafi and Morgan made this trek unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their guidance and encouragement. Wildland Trekking is hands-down the best, and we can’t wait for our next adventure with them!

From registration to the trekking, Wildland performed above and beyond my expectations. Carm, our experienced Wildland Guide, fostered a positive group dynamic. She fully engaged with each of us, set a comfortable pace on the trail, prepared nourishing and delicious meals and represented the ideals of Wildland brilliantly.

Yosemite Classic Summits Half Dome and Clouds Rest Our guide Carm, was the heart of this trip and made sure we saw and experienced everything Yosemite has to offer. THE TRIP: The trails we did and seeing the Sierra Nevadas from Clouds Rest and Half Dome under Carolina Blue sikes was picture perfect. The food was so good and plenty of snacks, our campsites were quiet and perfect after a long day of hiking. The trip was the perfect amount of time and everyday was set up for success to achieve what was planned. Our trip was 5 of us plus Carm. We started off as strangers and left as a trail family. THE GEAR: We used the backpacks that were provided by Wildland. They were all 40# and as comfortable as a pack that heavy can be. We had a 2 person tent and had plenty of room. We brought our own sleeping bags and kept our personal belongings to exactly what we needed. I highly recommend Wildland Trekking and can’t wait to book another trip with them. Bonus to these trips are: Wildland takes care of all permits, campsites, foods and knows the backcountry way better than most of us!
