In an all-electric bus, tours depart from the Aquarium of the Bay and drive North to sustainable Sonoma wineries for the day. While the specific wineries visited vary by day, tastings are always included. Wineries are selected based on how aligned they are with the aquarium's mission to fight the climate crisis and all are Sonoma County Sustainability certified, meaning they must produce bottles with 85% certified sustainable grapes from Sonoma County! One uses biodynamic farming techniques to create the best possible grapes without compromising future use of natural resources and supporting the local ecosystem. Another utilizes naturally occurring elements such as yeast during the fermentation process and grows more drought-resistant grapes.
You'll see the sights and sip delicious wine - this unique experience is educational and entertaining! During the expedition, the group stops in historic Sonoma Square for meals, shopping, and exploration.
